Kevin Brennan, MP for Cardiff West, said: “Riverside Advice has been providing a vital and valuable service to vulnerable people in my constituency for more than 45 years. This concert is a wonderful way to support their work while enjoying the most sublime music from these captivating performers.”

Barbara Kerridge, Riverside Advice, explained: “93% of our clients are affected by mental health issues, raising over £2,000,000 a year for our clients from our Welfare Rights work and we couldn’t help the number of people we do without the support of our funders, including the University Health Board, British Gas Energy Trust, Access to Justice Foundation, National Energy Saving Trust and Waterloo Foundation. Money raised from this concert will enable us to do even more for the most vulnerable people in this area, and I hope our audience will also get a lot of joy and pleasure from the music. It’s Folk for Folk”

The concert will be Leveret’s first in Cardiff, although they performed in Cardigan when the band first started touring together in 2019. BBC Radio 3’s Verity Sharp describes Leveret as “Three of England’s finest traditional players, weaving exquisite tapestries out of old and new tunes.” The band’s repertoire includes the beautiful Welsh traditional tune The Height of Cader Idris https://youtu.be/B-rZZYsoYtk, which is on the band’s second album, Leveret In the Round.
