Female volunteer needed to help with a creche to support a Grangetown based FAN group

Fancharity are looking for a female volunteer to support a women’s FAN group in the Grangetown area that meets weekly on Wednesday mornings for an hour and a half each week. The first half of the meeting is an English lesson, followed by a short FAN (Friends And Neighbours) meeting where the women can practise their English skills in a supportive, friendly environment.

The volunteer role would be to help with an informal creche in the same room where their mothers are taking part in English lessons and a FAN meeting. The volunteer will never be left with sole responsibility for the children and the mothers will be on hand to help with any problems. Ideally you will have experience with small children.

As part of our recruitment process, we will request and take up references.  Volunteers for this role will also need an appropriate level DBS check which will be arranged and paid for by FAN. Volunteers will receive training and support from FAN staff and other volunteers.

This can be a very rewarding volunteer opportunity.
