South Riverside Community Development Centre (SRCDC) is offering six free places for individuals from migrant communities in Cardiff to join an organised visit to the Houses of Parliament in Westminster in late November 2026.
This opportunity is delivered through the Sustaining Grassroots Empowerment Project (Bridging Voices).
🎒 What is Included?
- Free place on the organised SRCDC visit.
- Group train travel to and from London.
- Complimentary lunch on the day of the visit.
- An exclusive programme at Westminster to learn how Parliament works and discuss the vital issues impacting migrant communities.

👤 Who Can Apply?
The competition is open to anyone from a migrant community living in Cardiff who wants to make a difference and share their perspective on policy and community issues.
📝 How to Enter
To enter, tell us about an issue affecting your migrant community that you want decision-makers in Westminster to understand.
In your entry, please answer:
- Why does this issue matter?
- What do you think could help improve the situation?
Submission Rules:
- Submit one short written response.
- Maximum length: 1,200 characters (including spaces).
- ⚠️ Do not worry about perfect English! The panel is strictly looking for your unique experiences, perspectives, and ideas—not your grammar.

⚖️ How Will It Be Judged?
- 100% Fair & Anonymous: All personal details and names will be removed. Your entry will be assigned a unique reference number before going to the judges.
- The Panel: A 5-member panel composed of SRCDC staff and Trustee Board members will independently review the anonymous entries. Winners will be chosen by a majority vote.
- Criteria: Judges will look for clarity on the issue, why it matters to your community, and practical ideas or useful perspectives. Political opinions or English language proficiency will not affect the decision.
