South Riverside Community Development Centre is seeking an experienced project worker to provide an employment support service to BAME women in Cardiff, focused on the South Riverside, Grangetown and Canton areas.

Job Role: The worker will provide and develop person centred one to one support plans, development of employer links, training, placements and peer support. They will also manage a barriers fund to help access training, support and employment placements.

South Riverside Community Development Centre in partnership with Women Connect First, Horn Development Agency, Oasis Cardiff and the New Economics Foundation are looking to recruit a team of experienced staff to coproduce solutions to the issue of in-work poverty within the BAME communities of Cardiff.

Project Workers: 4 posts (4 x 17.5hrs). £25K for 35 hours (+5% pension).

Working at of one of the four Partners bases you will work alongside BAME families in helping them to shape solutions to in-work poverty. Active listening, community connecting, partnership working and knowledge of the barriers the BAME community face are all essential for this post. (Please note you may apply for more than one post).

Administrator: £14K for 21 hrs (+5% pension).

Providing full administrative support to the team and families we will be working with.

Closing date: 12am 13th January 2019. Interviews will take in w/c 21st January 2019.

The posts are funded for 3 years by the Big Lottery in Wales.
